Keyword Research Services – Value For Money Or A Waste Of Space?
I struggle with keyword research. Maybe you also do? I can find lots of them. I have a problem finding good ones.
When I used Google’s keyword tool I trusted the results 100%. Why wouldn’t I? Big company like that shouldn’t be giving false figures. Well, it turns out the figures aren’t always right.
The data returned isn’t accurate. However it would have been when they collated it. I discovered the answer almost by pure chance.
I decided to go for a keyword with about five thousand competing pages. I was feeling confident enough to rank well with this one. I put out probably thousands of articles.
It didn’t take long to notice there were now over 9000 competing sites. My heart sank, I thought my task was gonna be twice as hard now. Turned out though that an awful lot of the extra competing pages had my articles on them!
What I’m saying is that I would have left it alone had I saw over 9000 competing sites. Turns out I was competing mostly against myself as my article was the cause of these sites ranking. A nice situation to be in!
I got lucky on that keyword but I suspected I may not get lucky again so I made the decision to try out a keyword research service. I liked the idea of good keywords being delivered to me every day. I had figured that the daily cost against how much work I would save is value for my money.
Of the keyword research services on offer I opted to try Travis Sago’s Instacash. Travis being at the top of the bum marketing pile. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.
One or two good quality keywords delivered each day could save me hours of time. And a couple hours work is pretty valuable to me. If I put the time saved up against the daily cost it shows clearly there’s value to be had.
I get a lot of emails from gurus banging on about outsourcing. I reckon there’s not much difference here. I’m paying someone else to research my keywords. I reckon that’s outsourcing.
You can find out just how the trial went over at my site. Earlier I mentioned that I ended up with thousands of articles on websites for a certain keyword. I’ll also tell you how I did that at my site.
